Default Sun VdBench test profile for PTS?

    Hi all,

Is there any possible of getting a vdbench test profile in PTS?

    http://vdbench.sourceforge.net/

"Vdbench is a disk and tape I/O workload generator for verifying data integrity and measuring performance of direct attached and network connected storage on Windows, Solaris, Linux, AIX, OS/X and HP/UX."
Looks to be a Sun developer's side project, CDDL licenced.

Usage of both CLI and GUI is briefly discussed here:

    CDDL licenced...

    http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-...atibleLicenses

"This is a free software license. It has a copyleft with a scope that's similar to the one in the Mozilla Public License, which makes it incompatible with the GNU GPL. This means a module covered by the GPL and a module covered by the CDDL cannot legally be linked together. We urge you not to use the CDDL for this reason.

Also unfortunate in the CDDL is its use of the term “intellectual property”."

Just because vdbench is released under the CDDL does not mean it is fundementaly incompatible with a phoronix test suite that downloads and compiles the vdbench code during use. Please don't perpetuate the FUD.
