Default Arch Linux has xorg-server 1.8 with catalyst 10.4!

Basically, the server version is changed in configure.ac before compiling, so fglrx can be loaded without problems.

For Arch users, there is even a repo: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.p...740353#p740353

Everyone else can check the PKGBUILD's and adapt it to their systems.

thanks for the pointer dcc24 !

Arch is THE distribution I've been looking for !

(it combines the freedom and flexibility of gentoo with the speed and light-weight character of a binary distro)
