Phoronix: Help Out: Wayland's TODO List Gets Updated
For those interested in the interesting Wayland Display Server, Kristian Høgsberg has updated the project's TODO list for what still needs to be tackled with this display server that's much simpler and cleaner than the X.Org Server by leveraging newer Linux graphics technologies throughout the open-source stack...
No? Are you sersious? :P While there's only talk about this then Wayland is nothing for me.- Port Qt? There's already talk about this on the list.
Many items on that TODO-List are of the form "reimplement something important that X has had for ages"..
I still consider X12 to be the better long-term solution, but if they're afraid of not getting a Qt-port, why would wayland have better chances?
this will sound silly and excuse my ignorance but how "easy" or difficult is to implement the stuff missing from wayland ???
probably porting toolkits is but how about the other stuff?
