It is odd that kernelnewbies.org did not mention the updates to compcache in their release notes. I believe that compcache support is supposed to be at the stage where using the in-kernel code is recommended by its developers now.

To bad full proper Phenom II x 6 support wasn't included in this release.
Does someone know if Radeon (r700) KMS can now run as cool as UMS? Also, is there an equivalent now for:
Option "ForceLowPowerMode" "on"
for KMS?
