Just as you say yourself: No, they aren't in any of the usual branches.

Have you tried adding the nosplash option to the kernel?

There were some new commits in drm-radeon-testing this morning. I think this are the patches for voltage and tiling support.

Can confirm this, the new commits are indeed the 'missing' tiling patches and the r6xx+ voltage stuff. Now updating...

The new commits also include Alex's initial CS checker for Evergreen, allowing the submission of acceleration commands :

I updated the drm-radeon-testing branch. But Xorg.0.log shows me:
(WW) RADEON(0): Color tiling is not yet supported on R600/R700
    Is xorg 1.8 required?

And how can i check if voltage setting is enabled?

    Thanks

Yeah. I noticed that too. Especially this part:

The mesa code that uses this will be released soon.

I think you'll also need patches for the ddx. Which are to be found in the dri-devel mailing-list.

There are patches required for the xf86-video-ati and mesa drivers as well as for drm. The patches are all on the dri-devel mailing list in the same batch of emails.
