The regression got introduced in git commit a7cf4145bb86aaf85d4d4d29a69b50b688e2e49d on May 21st, and has the effect of causing udev to go into an infinite loop consuming tons of CPU. This was noticed on lkml on May 22nd (Subject: [2.6.34-git8][regression] massive polling problems with udevd and other processes), and got fixed in commit 1eb2cbb6d5efe129cd006691267ce513c0aa59da on May 28th.
