ARM has a lot going for it and it's time for Linux to gain firmer traction in the ARM CPU space and if Linaro can pull this all together it sounds like a winner.
Netbooks and other smart devices with ARM chips will benefit from this.

you can do that already with a efikaMX Freescale Arm A8 800Mhz SOC and one of their Many OS distro's
the trick is their Aura firmware.... does away with expensive BSP's( Board Support Packages)and makes porting any OS as simple as porting to x86
