Default ATI Driver 8.36.5 - amdcccle still continues with segmentation fault

Hi, as notified in my previous thread (amdcccle - Segmentation fault of April, 3rd), amdcccle still continues with segmentation fault. I use Slackware 11.0 with X.Org 6.9.0.
I hope ATI will fix this problem, because I don't want to change my distro! I get on well with Slackware

maybe you need to upgrade your x.org ?

recently opera started having segfaults due to some change in libX11. maybe something similar is in the works here, with incompatibility with X libraries.

Have you try it in root?

I face the same problem as normal user, but run fine in root.

    Using Slackware 11 + DroplineGnome - (uname -a) Linux virgo 2.6.20.7 #1 Thu Apr 19 18:07:38 SGT 2007 i686 athlon-4 i386 GNU/Linux
