Is there a speed benefit from moving from C to C++?
I wish there was one source package to compile from in the future.
Thank you Compiz team.

Oh wow, more Phoronix articles titled inappropriately.
Not only the title is inappropriate, also the content is simply wrong:
No idea why the xrender backend should be a non-compositioning rendering backend., there is the capability to have non-compositing rendering back-ends such as those that leverage the X Render extension or Clutter.
The quality of phoronix' articles gets worse and worse.
It was such a great site once, but now its gutter-press quality unfourtunatly.
I don't need this, won't read phoronix in the future.
But thanks for the ride

It was such a great site once with really interesting linux hardware articles, but now news mainly consists of:
- Advance notices like "we are testing x/y, stay tuned for the results" (who really needs that stuff?)
- FUD like the "huge 2.6.35 kernel desaster"
- Useless tests like testing 10 different composition managers
- Reviews of completly unrelated stuff like power supplies or USB drives, without been able to measure the results properly.
Why review a power supply if you can't even measure voltage stability of efficiency.
I don't need this, won't read phoronix in the future. But thanks for the ride

the quality does seem to be going downhill, but its not nearly as bad as you guys make it out to be.
Sooo... any previews available yet?
why not try to find some help?
do like any major company does best; work out a deal to merge a linux gaming news site with phoronix. hahaha, not really.
but seriously, another person to help you with phoronix could be good. your job will be easier, phoronix quality could go up, the company could grow, phoronix-test-suite could have another developer to further development.
oh and, what are you guys talking about? how is the article title wrong?
