Hi all,
Does anyone have cpu frequency scaling (speedstep?) working in linux on the i3? I'm using the h55 chipset if that helps, on a gigabyte motherboard. I tried using the acpi-cpufreq driver, but it reported no such device :-(. Any clues?
Thanks
Do you know what kernel version and kernel module you're using?
Thanks for the help
With kernel 2.6.34 and greater it should work as expected.
That's odd... I'm running 2.6.34. I'm just upgrading to 35 now to see if that makes any difference. Is there anything else I need in the kernel other than the "ACPI Processor P-States driver"?
Thanks for your help
Ubuntu is 2.6.32.
I figured out the problem, it seems my overclocking doesn't mix well with speedstep. However I don't have a windows install to test if this is a kernel issue or a bios issue... either way it looks like I'm back to 3ghz :-(
