I would like to watch the video but it's been delivered in a proprietary format. Very disappointing to see that Phoronix is still promoting vendor lock-in such as this--especially since WebM is now an option.

Although it would be welcome, you don't have to embed the video HTML-5-style if it's too much work to get the pages to validate as valid HTML 5. However, please at least link to content that is available in an open, free-software-friendly format. Seriously, Phoronix of all sites should be helping to free the web, not lock it down further.

Especially when it's so easy to use flash as a fallback. Phoronix might not be able to afford the bandwidth though. They're using an offsite video host, and I don't know if there are any that support using video tags for embedding offsite.

bliptv already supports serving videos in both html5 video and flash, doesn't it?

best-case scenario would be videos switching to html5 but ads staying flash, although i doubt that will happen
