Well I'm very interested and qualified, but inexperienced in gallium or video decode or GL or anything [closely related] besides some minor kernel hacking of video drivers.
Where can I see your mpeg2 state tracker?
Hi folks
Well reading about a new D3D10/11 state_tracker, I thought about starting on my vdpau state_tracker project again. But to due to limited time, I haven't worked on the project in several month now. Well if I got some help, it might actually end up working someday.
So what I am looking for, is another developer, willing to learn about gallium and video decoding. As for right now, mpeg2 is already partly implemented within gallium, so this state_tracker will target those bits.
You don't have to be a specialist or a hardcore developer (I am not), I am doing this to educate myself and for fun.
Please write to me if you are interested.

Any progress on this would be appreciated.
We're discussing how to simplify the project in order to get some measurable benefits within the *very* short term.
i.e. it may not be necessary to reinvent the wheel when you are the proud owner of a wheel factory. Might be the best solution to just bolt the wheels onto a car and go for a drive![]()
well, i can help too, i am a complete noob in graphics stack development but im quite decent in general use C/C++/QT/SSE x.x.
as you mention i would love to get more experience with gallium and graphic stack development, ill pm you my email, write me if interested
