That is not surprising, vbox has a long way to go to catch up to VMwares offerings. My only major complaint with vmware in the past was it using OSS instead of ALSA. Now that they support ALSA however those sound issues of the past are long gone.
I switched from VirtualBox 3/4 to VMware Fusion yesterday and it's making a night-and-day difference of an improvement already![]()

The best thing about this release is that the closed source stuff is now provided as extensions. This makes distribution much simpler.
