Stepping down from your editorial role? Then who is taking over? Or will Phoronix.com die?

Phoronix.com wouldn't die... There's been on and off talks about a few possibilities.

Rumor has it that Qaridarium is taking over the role.

Maybe you could make it Slashdot-style and have a few selected editors who are known to be good at what they do? And when you have some time to yourself you can also chip in an article every now and then

Can understand your need to focus more on the business-targeted performance testing solutions, and while I hope that's successful, Phoronix often runs articles that you can't find anywhere else; would hate to see it fall by the wayside.

The focus and format would remain unchanged.

It's just tiresome working so much now for the past 6.5 years on Phoronix... I'd like to stop working quite so much. And yes, the testing software side has its advantages and new opportunities. Without me in an editorial role it would also avoid any conflicts of interest that may arise down the line from the testing software side. And some of the proposals received thus far would leave the Phoronix.com content in hands of a good team to continue growing much faster and at a rate than what's physically possible by just one person / me.
