This list of big black "install plugin" boxes isn't making for very compelling viewing. The blip.tv site doesn't even give me that much (Firefox 4).
HTML5 video + WebM anywhere?
How about a downloadable flv,mpg ??? I don't use flash like many other people.
Turn on the HTML5 in your blip.tv settings guys.
http://blip.tv/html5/
There is also on the right hand side of each page links to save the file in Flash Video (.flv), Ogg Theora/Vorbis (.ogv), and MPEG-4 Video (.m4v).
Heh, thanks.
Because they appear to be attempting to support open standards, I signed up just so I could turn it on.
Epic Fail.
The main page still just gave me a black box. Luckily I saw thumbnails under the "archive" link - at least, the first time I viewed the archive pages, cuz navigating back to the first archive page gave me a blank box again until I went to the main "show" page and back into the archive. Buggy. Clicking on a video page, it now flickers a bit before giving me a "download plugin" boxI wonder if they sniff user-agents for html5 and don't have Firefox 4 beta 10 yet or something?
Consider using an OS that does have applications that can handle standards.
Not needed. Is it that hard to search with a web browser in Haiku?is it that hard to host a file ?
The links for the file downloads are on the same page as the videos. But since you are on an extremely limited OS here are the direct links brought to you from a usable OS, linux:
