Phoronix: Intel Core i3 2100 Sandy Bridge

Up to this point when looking at the Intel Sandy Bridge performance and compatibility under Linux we have been using the Intel Core i5 2500K and Intel Core i7 2820QM. Last week though we received the Core i3 2100 (along with a Core i7 990X) from Intel and today are putting the low-end ~$125 USD Sandy Bridge processor through its paces under Linux.

Add AVX functions where 3+ arg commands are useful

a park_joy_2160p.y4m http://media.xiph.org/video/derf/y4m/2160p/ with a current x264 git pull encode down to 720P might be interesting to use and see as a openbenchmarking benchmark today too

if you also want to use the current x264 git pull's to make 10bit encodes so improve visual quality even more then you may also want to patch ffmpeg/libav with irock's current 10bit playback patches found here

P7H57D-V Evo

Does anyone know if Asus has released a sandy bridge successor to this MB?
I really love it and want to buy it's successor if it's available.

I imagine it'd be called something like the "P8H67D-V Evo".
Then again it could easily be called something else entirely.

I've searched the Asus site & Google...
But I've not seen any SB MB's quite as unique as the P7H57D-V Evo yet.
