But I live in EU, so no software patents. Those unfortunate souls that live in USA, will have to go without floating point textures. But the most probable scenario is that whole WORLD won't see those patches enabled, because of USA law (unless and until they will compile it themselves)

If I recompile my mesa using marek's branch, could this work for 600g too?

No.

However, a lot of the work Marek has done applies to the common parts of Mesa and Gallium. There's just a little bit of code that needs to be plugged into r600g to use it. Marek has only enabled it on r300g so far.

I do have vsync turned off, but I think the tearing in the image is caused by gnome-screenshot.


BTW, SSAO in Amensia is also working fine with the floating branch.
