It was ten years ago today that the GNOME project was born when Miguel de Icaza had announced the creation of this free software desktop environment that ultimately would go head-to-head with KDE. Congratulations to the GNOME team with a very successful ten years! Marking the birthday of GNOME is also the first beta for GNOME 2.20.0 (GNOME 2.19.90).
