Reading chip temperature and fan control on ATI 2xxx cards

I'm searching tools for Linux that allow me to control the fan on the graphic card or to show the temperature of the chip.
I asked google, but it seems that there is no program to do such things. Maybe one of you knows a program or knows if this will be supported by the fglrx driver in the future.
