Does someone have some info about why AMD catalyst is blacklisted?
"the AMD Catalyst (fglrx) driver is blacklisted from using the GL2 back-end, so for now it also is using the GL1 back-end even though the Catalyst driver on modern hardware supports GL3/GL4. "
FAIL... its ironic the Radeon IS NOT blacklisted... only the Catalyst...
Catalyst is shown multiple times as a Synonym for broken by design![]()
maybe they fix it on Kubuntu 11.10

The Kwin OpenGL choices are favorable for free software ^^, I hope they won't use floating point though. Maybe doubles for fancy effects?
will any of this work on a multi-display set-up using xinerama?
