GCC 4.6 was released back in March with various Intel hardware optimizations, initial AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=15665) support, Google Go programming support, new optimization paths, and a number of other new features. Llano isn't much different from k10. On the other hand, brazos and bulldozer optimization is already there, I believe.

Seeing as GCC doesn't fully implement C99 yet... it'll be what, 15 years before full C++11. C1X will be another 15.
