    Default Why is Ubuntu so good?

    I'm wondering why everyone seems to think that Ubuntu is the best Linux distro. I personally don't see that it is any better than a number of others – in fact, I know of others that I would say are better. So what's so great about Ubuntu?

    Marketing. They gave away free disks to anyone that took the time to fill out a media request. After that it was a snowball effect.
