I don't have a uEFI platform myself, but I get the feeling that there may be a few stumbling blocks on some platforms.
The kernel can be booted directly from efi, otherwise this is a bootloader question really. With the runtime services (reboot etc) the situation is the same as bios; crappy firmware doesn't work until it's been worked around, compliant firmware works good.
My laptop has it and I've never had a problem.
