@Kivada, the SoC may be used in "Smart" TVs, as well as those other connected devices that wee see each year at CES : fridges, phones, radio receivers, and anything you can imagine.

I believe that previous articles mentioned that this driver provides KMS (and possibly GEM/TTM) functionality, which means that at least resolution and mode setting can be handled in the kernel. At that point, "all" anyone has to do it write a gallium driver and you've got 3D acceleration, and possibly 2D (through the Xorg gallium state tracker and/or something like the recently discussed glamour).
