I don't get the point of this article.
I've been playing with plymouth a bit recently in order to make a decent boot screen. Something I've been trying to find out is where exactly it connects to libpng. The reason i ask is b/c it would be great to be able to use mngs for animation rather than the rather limited png manipulation, and mng should allow for larger and more complex animation b/c of using deltas.
my boot splash still sucks, changes resolution randomly, blinks and i see all this terminal text, even on log out, shutdown...
