PC-Doctor Inc, a company serving the computing community since 1993, recently sent out their PC Doctor Service Center 6 for review. This PC diagnostic test kit includes a variety of hardware and software for helping to diagnose computer problems. While this kit can help in solving computer problems, is it worth $400 USD?

Looks like a nice tool for professionals if it actually works but it could have a better psu tester. I would say its geared towards professionals and not hobbyists and as such not a bad product imo(if it works that is).

At first I thought this was a joke, but I took a look at the article. Good article by the way, as always. I got a idea, lets see if PC Doctor can fix problems!

If it can't fix that, its not worthy. Haha, because thats about the worst mistake a Linux user could make. (Personally, no one could make that mistake hahaha) Alright I'm done making fun of pc doctor. In a way, it does look useful, but not for 400$, I agree with you guys. Thats way too much money for a diagnostic cd and a few adapters.

All of that's under $100 USD... Use a LiveCD or a LiveUSB distribution and you're all set. It may take a few more minutes/seconds booting to the Linux Live distribution compared to the DR-DOS test, but for $300 cheaper, buy a six pack of your favorite beverage and enjoy the boot process

I got an Int80h POST diagnostic Card for both PCI and ISA on one board fuer around 2 US$ on ebay.com. There are also boards for miniPCI available.

I'll second the Soyo PCI card.

Unless your PSU tester can test load you might as well use DMM.
