The Linux 3.1 kernel was released earlier this week and it further enhances the Intel Sandy Bridge graphics support while also prepping the open-source kernel driver for Intel's next-generation Ivy Bridge processors.
I don't use intel but I am very glad to see the progress they have been making and the efforts they put into open source. Last time I checked though, wasn't nearly all intel related products faster on Linux than on Windows? With this performance increase, it looks like the Windows devs have got some catching up to do.
