Fukushima was the fault of a poorly designed system that was 40 years old. Chernobyl was caused by blatant idiocy and insufficient failsafe systems. Mostly it was cause by people pumping coolant out of the reactor while backing out the control rods to full power and then continuing on that road of fail.

Nuclear power is sufficiently safe, the French are masters at it, they update and improve the technology all the time and it gets safer and safer and they have very successful reprocessing systems and technology now getting more and more out of the fuel rods.

It is very short sighted to ignore what the French are doing.

Technological French is a agricultural state there is no High-tech in France.
