yes nice subsidy is always bad! germany for example do not have subsidy on solar power at all.
Edit: your source :"The FiT isn't a subsidy, strictly speaking" your reading skill in understanding is very low because you write:"Britain opting out of subsidising Solar power"
and hey they don't opting out they just lower it : "domestic tariffs will fall from 43.3p/kWh to 21p/kWh,"
but compare this to germany lower it to 0,16€/kwh this means germans is lower right now for big solar power plants-
also "micro-power generation" this is my point of view and i do have a micro-heat and power-generator for over 6 years now.
