Intel are active in porting Android to x86 since it exists. Intel haven't moved to Android because they were already there.
Another fact is that after the debacle with Atom and no vendor optimizing for it, Intel won't ever again lay its fate into different hands. That's why Intel will support Windows, Android, and an own solution (currently Tizen).
