They only add features enough people complain about not having. ( KDE: classic menu app launcher, Gnome: fallback )


Hardly anyone -- average consumer -- will buy a commercial Linux product.

Who cares about what phoronix readers meant yesterday? Hating the shell is sooo yesterday now. Since Linus found some love for the shell+extensions every self proclaimed leet poweruser must do the same. And they sure do! extensions.gnome.org have more than 30.000 hits per hour https://bugzilla.gnome.org//show_bug.cgi?id=665575

So scap this obsolete survey and ask people which extensions they use.
