Because I'm not using a package format - I'm compiling from source. There are packages availible, but take a week to come out with the project being on a two-week release cycle.
My point, if building your own .deb packages is so easy on Debian based distros, why would you install from source anyway, and not allow your PM to do it for you and easily maintain it?

Using make uninstall and then winetools is just as easy as .deb unistall and then .deb build. Either way, I need to press a few buttons for uninstallation and still have to compile and install something. .deb only makes sense when it's compile once, use many.
