In fact, I think that 12.2 was ready two or three weeks ago... when they sent the windows version to be certified but not released till today... (as the official windows version). So I hope to see a lot of work for HD 7xxx in the 12.3!

This driver seems to badly break on Linux Mint (Ubuntu-based) 12, with an AMD FirePro M7740 chip. The screen was completely garbled. I couldn't even get to a (visible) virtual terminal using Ctrl-Alt-F1. I had to reboot, and from a recovery shell uninstall Catalyst 12.2 and reinstall fglrx.

I'm getting pretty sick of AMD drivers not working on my laptop.

I am guessing that this means fglrx still does not work with Gnome3 and it's derivatives. I gave up waiting long ago and switched to Gallium. Gallium is OK if you are not a gamer, but I would still like to have the best power management. Waiting some more. Ho Hum. I have built a new machine and for the first time in ten years it is Intel. Why? Apart from anything else, because I am a Gnome3 user and I want a stable desktop without weird and wacky menu tearing. I was patient for a long time, but forever is too much to expect.
