    Agreed, I don't know why Micheal has to put some negative spin on pretty much everything he reports. Linux kernel's are released when Linus decides that the commits/fixes for a certain release branch have calmed down sufficiently, this varies from release to release given that it depends on how much code is submitted for inclusion in a particular branch and how many bugs/problems arises from that code.

    So when Linus says 'Things hasn't quiteted down as much as I had hoped' then it doesn't mean the subsequent release is suddenly 'late'. One would think that after having covered Linux releases for years Micheal would have understood how this concept works by now.

    Because Michael is a journalist, so they he exagerates, lies, spreads fud and put negative spin on everything to cause drama and get attention so he can get his ad revenue up.
