Phoronix: An Updated Look At Radeon Gallium3D 2D Color Tiling
In continuation of the Using The New Radeon Gallium3D 2D Color Tiling article from January, here's updated benchmarks of the latest Radeon Linux driver code with this performance-boosting feature enabled.

Great fun to see these results!
Looking forward to hopefully seeing this stable for Fedora 18.![]()
Is it possible to attach the xorg.conf file that was mentioned? It would be good to see what options you have enable in it when using gallium 3d.
For fedora standards it's already too much stable, they will surely use more bleeding edge code for fedora 18![]()
Michael, a third PNG bug with the recent articles:
(too small text, clipping, and now overwriting)
Maybe you can get input from radeon devs on which improvements to test out to get max performance.
Btw. what about OpenVG/OpenGL ES benchmarks? Are they possible?
(g-truc.net called MESA best desktop OpenGL ES implementation, so it's good excuse for some benchmark right?
)
That is a very impressive boost in performance for enabling a single feature like that.
That is fantastic.
