Anyone try Nexuiz on an ATI Linux box yet?
Well, much like the earlier version, and Cube as well for that matter, this game seems to suffer from that "running on a sheet of ice" feel. For some reason—and I can't quite put my finger on it—it just feels off in the control department. Maybe, it's something in the sensitivity department or the range of movement when strafejumping. Whatever it is, it needs a little tweaking.
Also, the maps are a little claustrophobic. I would suggest adding a little more headroom. A good reference for level designers can be found in the greatest DM game of all time: Quake 3. The Q3 maps are not overly large, but often seem expansive due to the design. Here the maps seem cramped.
All in all, I found this to be reminiscent of a Quake2 era deathmatcher albeit graphically updated. In particular, it reminded me alot of Daikatana's multiplayer. It is free, however, and it is a work in progress, so I can't gripe that much.
Same here. The sound was incredibly muffled with 1.5 for me... so now I can finally find out what all the fuss is about.Originally Posted by LinuxRocks

game looks ok on ATI but performance wise...big nono... and laggy control...![]()
