the key is the house heating this is the "biggest" part of co2 emission.

better house isolation better isolation windows better heating systems like heat and power power plants and power recycling air ventilation systems are the way to go.

I wouldn't call it crap either. Its important to hear about this kind of thing. The German phaseout of nuclear power and dramatically increasing green energy is unprecedented. Its vital to see how this pans out and use the lessons in other parts of the world.
