Animated Wallpapers for KDE 4.9

That looks gorgeous. Friend of mine is worried that it will take up additional RAM, however, and he doesn't deem that worth it. I countered with Linux having lower hardware requirements than Windows as is, meaning that it isn't much of an issue. Was I correct in doing so?

Following current dev vector, I think the opposite will happen. They will remove wallpapers completely.

Although I very much appreciate this video, feature, and thread, what's so special about animated wallpapers? Apparently they have been around since 2007, if not earlier. Not trolling, just genuinely curious as I often like to argue the case for Linux.
