Set that all buses are fast enough, usb read bandwith up to 400 MB/s and SSD writes up to 700MB/s we could get a ubuntu-install in the time of 2-3 seconds when just copying a btrfs-image of ubuntu from a usb thumbdrive over to a fast SSD-Drive ... wooooooow (am I right?)

There is honestly nothing wrong with doing this. It is how OSS is supposed to work. Each group scratches their own itch. The problem with Canonical is that they don't contribute much at all to the rest of the community. Their users are THEIR users. They might as well not even be a regular distribution.
They need to make money in order to stay around and I'm not sure how much longer Shuttleworth can afford to foot that bill and thus far they seem to be floundering when it comes to finding a course.
