All I am missing now is Evolution and Android contact sync. As soon this is ready to use, I will dump the proprietary solution I am using at the moment.

How about utilize Git (other revision control system) for versioning?
How about utilize ZFS or Btrfs capabilities for versioning?
How about HTTPS ? How about HTTP Strict Transport Security?
How about SSO (single sign-on) ? How about Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) / NTLM authentication?
    How about WebDAV?
    How about a RESTful API?
How about distributed file systems such as HAMMER, Ceph, GlusterFS, Lustre, PVFS, POHMELFS, etc?
How about integration with NAS devices?
How about bridging ownCloud devices across different clouds?
    How about upload-by-emailing?

    +1
How about killing some bugs in the -otherwise pretty- web interface?
How about adding any cloud features, essentially? You get all your data on a single server. Sure you can replicate it by other means but... not cloudy, and no chance of meatballs.

    Oh, you're right.
