If you are still in Germany, you should visit the "Erlanger Bergkirchweih". As a beer lover you have to visit it at least once in your life as it is the oldest beer fest in the world.
I liked it even better than the Oktoberfest because there are more locals. The Oktoberfest today is just a tourist attraction.
