We've had good 2d via spice for awhile, now we can use iommu to passthrough the graphics card to get awefully close to native performance (this should, eventually, get even closer to native since the only overhead is the mmu overhead). The kms driver will be nice once we can passthrough kms only drivers and get 3d via spice as well, but for gaming, iommu passthrough sans Spice, makes more sense.
