I don't see any reasons why it shouldn't run on SUSi.
Hi Guys I am wondering.
I would prefer to stay on suse, but steam is gonna be released for ubuntu.
How hard will it be to make it run on suse?
I might have the time, but I am pretty sure I do not have the skills.
And what I saw from unity, it does not make me wanna switch to ubuntu.
I don't see any reasons why it shouldn't run on SUSi.
That sounds like good news.
But I thought that suse uses a different package system ? Its not debian based.
Getting good news and learning something new
This is a good day
I have been looking for a deb package manager for Suse.
Are you sure it exists ?
They only thing I could find was alien.

Cool, thanks then I was on the right track.
It's going to be supported on Ubuntu. This means when you contact Valve support with an issue and say "I'm using something other than Ubuntu on NVIDIA/Intel/AMD", they'll tell you to jump in a lake.
This doesn't mean it will only run on Ubuntu - just what they're targeting and supporting. For example, it'll be built against a version of libc found in Ubuntu, so you'll need to use a SUSE version carries the same or higher version.
Thanks !
Finding a suse with the same or newer libc should not be a problem.
