Have proof? Whether you do or not, that doesn't change my point - it still becomes Valve's assumption if they themselves are stating the same information. If you're agreeing with Destructor, at this point you're basically saying that assumptions are only bad if Michael is making them, whether or not <company name> is stating the same thing.

I do hope all Valve games make it Linux, especially the new ones. DOTA2 and CS:GO better not keep Linux gamers waiting!

Well if you look inside the CS:GO folder, there is already a linux32 folder which is still empty. But it is in there !

First of all, Michael didn't assume - he's just stating that there's a new game and it'd be a good opportunity for Valve to see if releasing a brand new game with a linux-native client will be profitable enough. He said it in a presumptuous tone, but it was more of a personal hypothesis than anything. Secondly, when was the last time Michael made an assumption, or better yet, when was the last time he made an assumption that turned out wrong? It's people like you who thought he was wrong about Valve supporting linux, I would think by now you'd learn to stop bitching and do what he really intends - spark a community discussion.


Why is that if something isn't proven and open source, there's always someone who tries to find something to complain about?

Dude, he wasn't anywhere near the truth when he came out with his 'Valve is going for Linux' thing. It was just a coincidence that, many years later, they decided to do it.

A news site isn't there for 'sparking community discussions about things that may happen in 2 years'. It's there for delivering actual news. For example that the company behind VendettaOnline hired someone for updating their art assets/effects and trying to find out more about what is going to happen there (aka interviewing people). Not spreading wild assumptions that may or may not be true.

But well, after all it's his site, not mine.
