You could say that wayland IS X12 - it will reuse much code in X11 stack and remove non-used features / aspects of x11

hating x is like shooting a retarted baby. very few pause and think why it has sucked for decaded. this is because unix is primaraliy used in servers/mainframes and you don't need tear-free scrolling on a database cluster. not a mention its an attack surface because it runs in root. neckbeards will BS thought their teeth that x11 is widely used but the fact remains that its majority usage is on aging unix workstations and not average homes.
