Phoronix: The Future Of OpenGL On Linux Looks Better
On the last day of XDC2012, plans for the future OpenGL Linux ABI began to be plotted. This was quite an interesting discussion that's certainly worth watching...
Heya, I did my low-jitter kernel now. You can benchmark it, and I know this is agressively tuned for max performance at low-jitter, so it should give a good idea of low-jitter linux.
Should be great for a fast desktop, OpenGL, and improved youtube-experience, and stable 1ms latencies with sequencers.
Overall os-jitter is less than 1ms (on a 2.5hgz dual-core), so realtime threads are even not needed.
