Request for Affordable 10" Laptop/Netbook for Ubuntu recomendations

Hi,

Considering purchasing a 10" Laptop/Netbook for an Ubuntu user.

Requirements:

1) ~10" (certainly < the 13/14 sizes)
2) Must accept existing 2.5" SATA SSD or come with it's own SSD.

How's the AMD/Atom war these days?
Can I install Ubuntu on an ARM netbook yet?
Without hackery?

Any ideas?

How's the AMD/Atom war these days?

AMD stood still, Atom improved. So the current E2-1800 is about the same as the latest Atom cpu in perf.

GPU-wise, all current Atoms run PowerVR crap, so that alone will make you go AMD.
