Phoronix: Features Being Planned For HTML5 GTK+
Earlier this week when multi-process support was added to the HTML5 back-end in GTK+, a TODO list was also created that hints at some of the features being looked at for the "Broadway" back-end...

Is there something here Qt doesn't do?
I hope the GTK HTML5 browser session supports authentication/login and HTTPS encryption.
Thats when you hate the idea developing free software without a catch. Instead of fair play and equal rights for everyone you demand the copyright(CA) or a broad license(CLA) for any contributions. This effectively secures a back orifice to close up code and screw over free software communities. Or for the lulz: Use the copyright to sue GPL-users.
QtGUI.js can compile a Qt program to HTML5 and Javascript: http://ssj-gz.blogspot.com/2012/12/q...n-liverer.html
Also, I think it's pretty funny that it doesn't work with Konqueror or rekonq (since with Qupzilla, they are the only open usable Qt browsers I know of).

The problem with GTK+ is has never been the license, but that its developers are hostile to other free software projects out there. GTK was taken over by people whose chief motivation has always been to kill any competing desktop.
This is why QGTKStyle was integrated into Qt and Qt looks nice when run inside a GNOME session. But GTK has never integrated the GTK-Qt engine which does the same for GTK apps running under KDE. 8 years later, GTK still looks like 80s technology if you run KDE.
GTK and GNOME have the worst politics in all of Free Software. Although Lennart is really trying to unseat them :P
