Phoronix: FreeBSD Kernel May Come As Option In Fedora 19
Hours ago I wrote about the proposal to use Cinnamon as the default desktop in Fedora 19 rather than the GNOME Shell. While that proposal may seem a bit outlandish for the Red Hat sponsored Linux distribution, here's another interesting proposal that may be a bit of a pipe-dream: a FreeBSD kernel option for Fedora 19 rather than the Linux kernel...

Wow, aren't were another 2 full months before First of the April?
This is just a (bad?) joke of one Fedora developer, please, do not take it seriously - I've immediately moved it to a different category (a joke one).
One tip for Phoronix - wait at least for the announcement on devel-announce list - Features in category ReadyForWrangler are still not a final proposals!
1:0 for Czech Red Hat![]()
It's impossible as systemd cannot work without the Linux kernel.
Forget about this proposal, Fedora will not go back to SysVinit.
Michael, think before posting.
Since Red Hat sponsors Fedora and Red Hat is loyal to linux, this proposal won't go ahead
Those who propose this at Fedora should be kicked out and their copyrights removed from anything they wrote for fedora

Fedora just lost all the credibility it had left. Officially now fedora is a fucking joke of an operating system. Too many mistakes in a too limited timespan. Think of the backlash windows would have taken if shit like this would have been pulled off.
