    Default DDR800 RAM on 667 board?

    Hi guys, what happens when I pop DDR80 (Hynix DDR800 5-5-5-12) into a 667 slot?

    Is it backwards compatible?

    Yes, backwards compatible but limited to DDR2-667MHz bandwidth.

    Usually it is, it will just run at 667Mhz.
